OUR STORY
Saigonese Eatery was born out of Thao's deep connection to Vietnamese heritage and her culinary exploration abroad. It merges South East flavors with a modern, international touch.
Growing up in Vietnam, she was surrounded by vibrant markets, street vendors, and the family rituals of shared meals. After years of living and working abroad in cities like Singapore, Sydney, Thao returned to Vietnam with a vision: to craft a dining experience that merges the authentic flavors of Asia with a modern, international touch.

2016 - Our First Location - 16 Tran Hung Dao, Phu Quoc
Saigonese Eatery started in 2016 at 16 Tran Hung Dao, quickly becoming a hidden gem for travelers seeking modern, street food inspired yet elevated Asian dishes.
Saigonese was the first of its kind in Phu Quoc offering a blend of South Eastern flavours with a modern international touch.
This led to Saigonese beoming a favourite for locals, expats and tourists looking for unique culinary experiences whilst in Phu Quoc.
2018 - Our Second Location - 73 Tran Hung Dao, Phu Quoc
The eatery found its next home in 73 Tran Hung Dao in 2018, offering in and outdoor space with open kitchen and a larger menu.
The concept expanded to include Asian fusion dishes, wholesome sourdough bread a curated wine list. This created a dining space that blended tradition with modernity.
2020 - Our Current Location - 129a Tran Hung Dao, Phu Quoc
And here we are, our current home. The menu includes signature dishes like fresh local seafood tartare, dry aged grilled fish, duck breast and designed to pair with an extensive wine list, while highlighting her passion for bread and pastries.
